Rachel Papworth replied on June 11, 2009 07:43 to the question "Why is the @Replies setting missing from Settings/Notices?" in Twitter:
Here's the latest. I logged a support ticket and got an email back which just gave me a load of links to the standard help pages (which I'd already checked) and said that the query would be regarded as solved unless I mailed again.
I mailed again and have heard nothing in response.
However, the problem also seems to have been fixed, in that I am no longer seeing @replies to people I don't follow.
So, I think Twitter must have done something to fix it without letting me know: perhaps because they don't want to admit there was a fault their end - or is that just cynical? :-)
Thanks for your help mdy.
Rachel

Thanks for that mdy.
The announcement suggests that I should only see @replies between two people I follow. That's not the case though. I see @replies from anyone I follow to anyone, i.e. reams and reams of one-sided dialogues.
Do you know if that's what should be happening? And, if not, if there's anyway to stop it?
Thank you.
Rachel Papworth asked a question in Twitter on June 04, 2009 19:29:
Why is the @Replies setting missing from Settings/Notices?I'd like to turn off @ Replies. According to http://blog.twitter.com/2008/05/how-r..., all I need to do is go to Settings/Notices and change the option in the drop down box. However, this doesn't appear in my Settings/Notices. Mine only offers settings for Auto-Nudge, New Follower Emails, Direct Text Emails, and Email Newsletter.
Can anyone tell me how to turn off @ Replies please? Thank you.
