Try using "type:pages" in your search. This will only search workspace pages.

I'm sorry to hear you had this happen to you. We understand that deletion is a scary thing, which is why we do post a warning (that you have to approve) before the deletion is complete. You can see the warning message in the screenshot below:



I also recommend that you do regular backups (Settings -> Backup) to protect your data in case of accidental deletion.

The problem with concurrent editing is that it causes overlaps on who made the most recent data. You have a few options here. The first is to give each user their own workspace page, and then compile the pages together at a later date.

A second option is more fun, but a little tricky! You give each user their own workspace page, and then create a compilation page. Using the include plugin (From the PBwiki magic menu) you can include each user page on the compilation page. While each user works on their own page, other users can view the compilation page to see what's occurring and what changes they need to make.

I too have many wikis with probably too many pages. In that case, I use the insert link button from the toolbar (looks like a globe). This pulls up the page list in alphabetical order.

Unfortunately, we don't recommend using any workarounds to name the FrontPage. Special actions on your wiki depend on the page being named FrontPage, so we recommend you keeping it as is.

Unfortunately, we don't offer a file back up at this time (just wiki pages). This is definitely something we've heard our users want, and I've passed your request to our product manager. I'll update this thread when/if we add this feature.
