As I already said, it is an acceptable solution. Even if I would prefer full GNU/Linux, the solution you suggest too allow to educate readers about GNU and Linux.

Let's other people give their feeling about it.

    Thanks for you attention. :)

Give back to GNU what belongs to GNU : Linux becoming GNU/Linux
    Hi.

If Linux is only a kernel, alone it does not do lot of stuff. GNU has really improved Free Software world and so Open Source one, by the past, and they still doing this way.

So, everywhere Linux is written in plain text (not commands neither source code), it would be great to transform Linux into something such like GNU/Linux.

If this suggestion is not agreed as that, what about using one first time GNU/Linux and saying in Conventions (or at least in a footnote) that for user-friendly reason (or other, ayw), the term would be prefered by Linux for the rest of the book.

Having said that, as the term Linux is not used more than 9 times in plain text, I would be great to always use GNU/Linux everywhere in this book.

    What about that ?
