Given your last response you don't seem like you really want to understand the solution. But I'll try to explain anyway. Jaiku has NEVER supported any way for a 3rd party applications towork without an API key. Jaiku is not very well supported and support for developers is pretty weak compared to Twitter etc.
This is a known issue and has been for a long time. To get mJaiku to work I had to hack Jaiku to allow me to retrieve your API key for you using your credentials.
If you've used any other 3rd party Jaiku application before you should have known what the API key was. I've provided a link above to a way in which you can manually enter the key. YOU DO NOT NEED ANY PROGRAMMING SKILLS to use the key.
NOTE The two people on this thread are the only people that have ever had trouble with the setup. The suggestion to use the API was a way to work around whatever the issue mJaiku has with your credentials. I cannot fix a problem I cannot recreate. My credentials work, as do hundreds of other users. I'm sorry I cannot be of more help.

You can generate your API key by going to this URL:
http://api.jaiku.com/keys
Normal operation of the application shouldn't require that you enter this value directly. Given that I have no other solution for you right now, you can get around the issue by generating the key and entering the value in the system preferences for mJaiku.

Great suggestion. I also thought the same. The API provided by Jaiku is VERY limited and there is not way to download historical post or to get anything other than the most recent 20 or so that they choose. What I can do is cache the posts that you see ... and continue to do so every time you open the application ... but if you don't check jaiku frequently it may mean that there will be "holes" in the stream and several missing posts since the last time you checked. With that caveat in mind, I was planning to support caching for the simple reason that I wanted to be able to read offline.

I fixed my problem ...
1. Open Activity Monitor (Applications > Utilities > Activity Monitor)
2. Select the process for iTunes Helper
3. Click 'Quit Process' in the toolbar (when prompted "Force Quit")
4. Disconnect your iPhone/iPod
5. Power off you iPhone/iPod completely and power up again
6. Reconnect iPhone/iPod
7. (Optional for Developers) Delete any previous apps that you want to upload using a developer certificate-

Zoom in and out ...I think it would be fun to be able to not only zoom in to get a greater degree of control over cell placement, but to also be able to zoom out to the point that a cell is nothing more than a pixel ... the visual effect would be really cool.

Different characteristic for different colorsIt would be interesting to see different color cells interact with each other differently. Perhaps if different colors had different "life" rules. It could really change the dynamic of the game.-

raiglstorfer replied on September 28, 2008 23:20 to the problem "Randomly dropping WIFI connection" in Apple:
I am having that same problem. I have an all Mac network, Airport Extreme (n) Mac Pro, Mac Air, and a Powerbook. My wireless network is always 3 to 4 bars but occationally I effectively look all connectivity. Its not an issue with my cable provider because the local network is dead ... so it MUST be an issue with the wireless. When the error occurs the light on the Airport is green and all lights on the Cable modem are as they should be.
I can only guess that this is a software issue since it occurs on radically different hardware (MacPro, MacbookAir, and Powerbook). I seem to see the issue more since the latest Security Update ... but I can't confirm this.
I'll also try the suggestion to drop the config and recreate it and see if it helps. It just seems odd that its so pervasive. Granted, I keep all our home machines current with new code updates so perhaps that is the cause.
