No Caching of Avatar Pictures

It takes Eventbox a loooong time (approx. 1 minute) after a restart to display all of the twitter avatar's pictures. I guess there is no caching mechanism and the icons are loaded in realtime after every restatrt? That's quite - well - unprofessional. I would expect to have all the pictures cached and only the updated avatars are loaded after a restart.

My 5Cent: keep your focus on the desktop App and make it the best choice around. There are excellent clients for the iPhone (twitterfon etc.) and it would be hard to beat them. With push notification on t's way the iPhone itself is some sort of EventBox IMHO

Matthew Buchanan's reply to "Customize fonts" was just promoted to the most useful! Ralf Stockmann and 2 other people think it's one of the best replies.

In the HUD, all the type appears to be in bold. Compare this to Twitterrific where only the user's name is bold. The fonts look a bit harsher in the HUD, perhaps the colour needs to be dialled back to a darker shade of grey. And the "3 mins ago text" could afford to stand out less. Also, the text input field in the HUD is Helvetica, which isn't consistent with anything else.

Simplify the HUD: Icons hover only when needed

The HUD is great, but feels a bit "cluttered" compared to twitterriffic. One first step for a more relaxed user experience would be to show the small action icons only if I hover over the posting - well just like in twitterriffic - you get the idea ;-)
