Ranjit Padmanabhan set one of Ranjit Padmanabhan's replies as an official response to "Why doesn't it associate with all wikipedia articles?" in MashLogic
Ranjit Padmanabhan replied on November 07, 2009 07:54 to the question "Why doesn't it associate with all wikipedia articles?" in MashLogic:
Steve -- this could happen for a couple of reasons.
1. We are a bit selective about terms to link, to avoid cluttering the page with too many links. We tend to drop terms that are relatively more common than others.
2. The topic has been added to Wikipedia recently, and we've not yet added it to our index.
Here's what you can do. Select/highlight the term, right-click and select "Mash <this>" from the menu. Alternatively, if you have a callout open, you can just click on the term and type in the term you are interested in.
Thanks for your inquiry. I hope you found my response useful.</this>

A comment on the question "Glossary of tags returned via API?" in PostRank:
Thanks for the response. Sorry to hear about feed_stats, but that's OK.
I did look at the API examples and understand the request parameters. And the response is RSS - no worries. However, there are a couple of things inside the RSS (aiderss namespace) that I'm curious about:
aiderss:postrank? presumably rank on a scale of 1-10. are there any semantics associated with specific numbers? how does the postrank index map to good/great/best?
aiderss:original_link? in one example (feed) this is a number, in another (top_posts) it is a URL
aiderss:postrank_color?
Sorry for being slow - thanks for listening. – ranjit, on July 25, 2008 22:06
ranjit asked a question in PostRank on July 25, 2008 00:25:
Glossary of tags returned via API?Is there a glossary that describes the tags in the data returned by the API? For example, what does avg_month signify in the feed_stats response? I am primarily interested in the feed and feed_stats calls
