Raymond Brigleb replied on January 29, 2009 19:48 to the idea "UI functionality for latest release" in Colovo:
I like the new UI, but my partner does not. To her, it's much less intuitive. Without the drawer things take her longer. We both agree that the animation looks kind of hacky. The app seems less responsive and we find that we trust it less. On first launch today, it never appeared until I quit and restarted it. I think the UI especially needs some love and smoothing out!

A comment on the update "A fork in the road (An important announcement about I want Sandy)" in I want Sandy:
Agree 100%. I didn't use the service, but I'm disappointed by Rael and Twitter's handling of this. I just seriously think both parties should know better! – Raymond Brigleb, on December 24, 2008 06:53

I think the dashboard could maybe use a bit of love, also. However, I do think that showing things chronologically makes sense. I find myself wishing it would list the latest "activity" actually, rather than just the latest tickets. But for now, I think it probably makes more sense the way it is. I agree; it's tricky.
I do think the numbered grid, at the top, showing Assigned to Me, Opened by Me, and All Issues, is kind of awkward. It's so wide in my browser windows that it becomes difficult to actually use. It's hard to follow those lines evenly across the screen!!!
Raymond Brigleb shared an idea in Next Update on December 18, 2008 19:21:
After updating an issue, allow me to "review" itWhen I first submit an issue, I have two buttons - one to just add the issue, and one to add this and then add another. Good idea.
When I am working on an issue, I often write a quick note on that issue, then keep on working on it - using Sifter as a kind of log book or diary as I go.
Therefore, having a second button on the Update/Edit Issue screen, which allows me to enter my changes but keep looking at that issue, would be very helpful. After adding my notes, I bounce back to the project page, and have to hunt that issue down again to keep looking at it!
There's my suggestion. Otherwise, loving Sifter. Great design, very intuitive!

Get rid of those alert messages on every single page! The alert message at the top of every page in Beanstalk is kind of annoying. It's a little thing, but it takes up space on every single page on the site. Believe me, I know about deployment releases already! I really do! I know all about them! Can I stop being notified about that month-old feature??
Maybe they could only appear on the main dashboard page, but not on any other pages. Or only show me once, and set a cookie or something.
