If you have an iPod, there no way for it to communicate with the outside world other than Wi-Fi, and Infinite SMS is no exception.

On the iPhone, Infinite SMS works over Edge/3G as well as Wi-Fi.

It's not really designed for multiple users. But you can go into the settings screen and change the email and password. That will log out and log in as the new user. But it doesn't keep a separate chat history or any of that.

That sounds unusual. Our understanding is that it has to do with number of "outstanding invitations", which as far as SMS is concerned is people you've texted who haven't replied.

In response to your comment, I've tried sending a message to Google to get them to clarify their policy. But they've been really vague about things and I'm not sure they'll clarify for me. If I do get more information from Google, I'll update this forum topic.

If the issue hasn't resolved itself yet, you could try visiting Google's own forum to ask them why you're having this issue:

Delete is included in Version 1.2 of Infinite SMS, which is under review by Apple. We expect it to be available for download sometime next week.

As far as international texting goes, we use Google's service for sending and receiving texts, so you might want to poke your head into their forum to see what's going on with them:

Sometimes you have something logged in to Google Talk and you don't realize it. Some IM services like Beejive actually use your password to set up connections from their server that there's no straightforward way for you to turn off. Every time you use the gmail web interface the chat widget connects. And so on. You might try using your own dedicated account for sms. I use

mynormaladdress.sms@gmail.com

Have you noticed any patterns? Is it always the same people?

Can you check in gmail under chats and see if you can see the messages there?
