A good temporary solution is to use a program called AllTray. You can install it with Synaptic, or through the command line with apt-get:
"sudo apt-get install alltray"
This program will send anything you want to the tray with a little icon that you can click to bring it back up. If I remember correctly, you just start AllTray and then click on the application you want to send to the tray.

Hey, if you really want an answer for this, you might try putting a more descriptive title on your post, such as "Forgot Log In link problems". You could more or less switch the post title and the description of your problem as is, actually.
To answer your question, have you tried other email addresses you might have signed up with? If this is a systemwide bug, they should have posted something about in a public blog with a recourse for users with the problem. You might have spelled your email address or login name (unlikely, I know) wrong. Otherwise, just wait a week. It's only Gaia Online, after all! ;P

You can find the .Net 2.0 installation from Microsoft here:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/de...
Unfortunately RescueTime really does require .Net 2.0 and is not currently working with just .Net 3. The good news is that you can happily install both on you computer without any issues.
Thanks!

Reactor5 reported a problem in RescueTime on April 16, 2008 04:56:
Rescuetime crashes on startup on clean installation.I've just downloaded rescuetime and installed it, and when I try to run it (with both rescuetime.exe and rescuetimestart.exe) it gives me the same error message:
"Rescuetime has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
I reinstalled it and still the same message. I've looked for a log to send y'all, but I don't have any idea of what to send!
As far as I know, my .net is completely up to date. What version does rescuetime run best on?
