This is similar to what is happening to me, except only the @ symbols are screwing up from my mobile phone. If there are any updates on the question thread I made, I'll post.

Whenever I use the @ symbol from my phone, it shows up as an upside-down exclamation point, and whenever I recieve a tweet containing the @ symbol, it shows up as a question mark.

If it makes a difference, I have an LG Neon, and I use Fido.
