gkumar did you tried to install the whole visual C++ runtime library? could not be the only ddl missing in your system.
Otherwise, try to install a debug build (one of those posted by Drea will do the job) and check the error log, and then post the log here.

I had this problem right now when tryed to install dropbox.-.

SOLUTION:
install the C++ runtime library
or
manually download an install (put in windows\system32 directory) the needed MSVCP71.DLL
