If notes' limits are 140 characters because of SMS limitations, who posts notes directly through Brightkite site could have more than 140. It would be better to explain what you'll be doing, or where you are going.

In the empty space under the last check-in in the profile page, could show stats of how many notes, photos and check-in the member has.
