5.1 Sound Not Working. Rear speakers quiet. So far I've been unable to get my rear speakers to work with Songbird 1.0.0. I'm running a 5.1 setup with a newer Audigy Soundblaster card on Ubuntu.
I can verify the proper functionality of my setup with : speaker-test -Dplug:surround51 -c6 -l1 -twav
and my speaker config works fine in Amorak.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

Why are the only preferences in Songbird related to the browser? There's virtually no customization in regards to the music and playback; aside from add-ons. The add-ons are great, don't get me wrong, they put the potential of this player far above the rest out there... but the built in limitations seem to keep it dragging behind.-

Boris, thanks for the info. I removed the MMKeys add-on directory you pointed me to and I can now run Songbird.
However, every time I open Songbird it runs through the Setup routine; asking me to import media, install recommended extensions, etc.
Any ideas on that one?

Songbird crashes after add-on install. How to remove add-ons?I installed Songbird and it was working great. However I tied installing the MMkeys add-on and now Songbird won't start... even after uninstall and re install.
Is this add-on stored someplace that isn't getting removed after uninstalling? How can I be sure this add-on is gone? Does anyone know where the add-on install files are stored?
-Thanks
