A comment on the idea "integrate the forums and upsu.net with facebook" in University of Portsmouth Students' Union:
I do somewhat agree with your concerns regarding anonymity and forcing users to register for facebook, however, looking at the current upsu.net forums, there are currently 4329 registered users which is not a huge proportion of the current ~20000 student body in itself, on top of this there have been a total of only 10 posts on the forums in the past academic year, the majority of these being adverts of some kind for either societies, clubs or items for sale and there has been absolutely no use of the current discussion forums for... discussion.
The migration or integration of the forums, either entirely or in part with facebook also does not have to mean that some level of anonymity can not be maintained by either allowing the use of pseudonyms or aliases or by the provision of a separate space for feedback and discussion (such as getsatisfaction.com for instance).
Finally I am not convinced that a discussion forum (even one that does actually have an active community) is always the best place to discuss issues that require such anonymity. – rich86, on December 18, 2009 15:20

integrate the forums and upsu.net with facebookJoomla facebook integration;
It is clear that absolutely nobody uses the forums (http://www.upsu.net/union/forums/) or any other part of upsu.net for social networking and yet there are 1000s of new students arriving at university every year. upsu.net should be better integrated with facebook in order to provide more of a student community for new and current students.-

Better 3rd party voice(s)?Hi,
I found that Alex was ok, and definitely a massive improvement when compared to previous voices however I'm just wondering if there are any better 3rd party voices available? Maybe you could have a list of links to 3rd party voices on your website so that its easier for users to find them all in one place?-

Importing Wikipedia articles and other website contentHi,
I really love the idea of Textcast and am considering purchasing it. On trying it out I thought that It'd be great to be able to listen to Wikipedia articles, unfortunately there is a lot of content on the pages that I don't want read out such as headers, footers, tables of contents, referencing, etc..
I have been playing around with templates and realised that the CSS "display: none" property achieves most, if not all of what I need (at least on sites that uses CSS correctly).
Are there any plans to include support for scraping website content in a more listen-able manner? Is there any way I can achieve this using Textcast in its current form?-

Feature Request: "Flash" (class 0) SMS updatesHi,
I'd like to suggest the option to receive SMS updates from twitter as class 0 "flash" SMS messages (a "flash" SMS is displayed on the phone screen on receipt and and is not stored in the SMS Inbox). See http://www.ozekisms.com/index.php?ow_... for more details.-

Menu bar icon shows new messages even after readingThe menu bar icon remains blue after opening and reading new tweets until I scroll up and down to register that I have read tweets. Simply unhiding/opening the tweetie window should deactivate the new message icon.
New adverts also appear to activate the new message notification which isn't very helpful.-

Support for Elgato EyeTV tvtv.co.uk schedulingHi, I believe the Elgato EyeTV software for OS X allows for remote scheduling using the tvtv.co.uk service, in a similar way that Sky+ can be scheduled from their website. Would it be possible to add support for the tvtv.co.uk service to TV Plus?
Thanks
