"Google rolled out some changes to the HTML that runs Gmail in the last few days that rendered several of Better Gmail 2’s features completely busted. (Yes, that’s the technical term). So I just posted a quick fix-it version 0.7.3.1, which includes changes from the very speedy and helpful Arend von Reinersdorff. Sadly I had to remove several scripts which have not yet been updated to work with Gmail’s new markup ... In the meantime, download the new fix-it version 0.7.3.1 using the Download button on the right, from Better Gmail 2’s homepage, or just using Firefox’s Add-on boxes’ Find Updates button."

Rich Rosen replied on February 05, 2008 19:27 to the question "Is there going to be a new (Leopard) edition of "Mac OS X for Unix Geeks?"" in O'Reilly Media:
Brian, that's essentially what each new edition of the book seems to have done, and that has worked well up to Tiger. The book is already well-organized and structured, and updating in place with new information will all by itself make the book extremely useful. The coverage of Spotlight, for example, in the Tiger version slipped in very well and provided nice coverage of the topic. I'm really looking forward to this new edition! I've found previous editions to be great tools for UNIX-minded people who love their Macs but want to take advantage of their UNIXian nature. :-)

Why not? The changes on the UNIX side of Leopard are more radical in many ways than the ones associated with the advent of Tiger, which did get its own new edition. A new edition is certainly warranted.
I have both the original and Panther editions, and have found them very useful, but I never got the Tiger edition. A friend of mine did, and I noticed there were significant enhancements that were worthwhile, but Leopard was on the horizon and I decided to wait for Leopard's edition of this book to come out.
Is this just not one of the better selling Leopard books? I can't see a good reason for not updating this really useful book.
