As far as I know the Songbird Team decided to do this. The last.fm add-on is not recommend anymore because you have to pay, but I do not know why the shoutcast add-on is not recommend any more.

Both add-ons still work with 1.4 so there is not problem with that.

Secure Media Management

Many many many people are complaining about the Media Management feature that Songbird has. I think many problems are caused because they don ́t read when installing. Therefor I suggest that either the option to turn it on gets deleted from the install wizard or get ́s an extra message you have to click to confirm you turn the option on.

At the moment the feature causes some problems and even deletes files sometimes and so it is very important to let people know what they are doing, but it is also verry anyoing that your music gets managed if you don ́t want it.

I know people should read, but the fact is many don ́t.

If you are viewing your music library and have all the filter panes selected on "all" you can see the total number of songs in the right bottom of the screen. It will state ..... items.

As far as i know Songbird can not show you how big the filesize of your library is. There maybe a add-on that can do this, but i am not aware of that.

I also have a tip for you: Take a look at this add-on too see some funky statics of your music library.

Nope there is not. This is Software is a media player and well the iPod Touch and iPhone are designed to do this. It may be an idea to make some kind of app for Songbird, but the developer is already busy enough for now.

If I did not understand you and you mean syncing with Songbird with the iPhone or iPod Touch I also have to say no. This is because Apple has designed the syncing in a way that only iTunes will work.

Wow nice Simon really nice. I made a shout on my twitter and already got some great responses. For podcasting it is not 100% perfect for me, but i a big audiobook fan and now Songbird is also my number one player for that.

I just put audiobook in the genre tag what is very handy for other things anyway and it remembers the track position. Briljant, just briljant!

Edit: oh i wanted to comment on Simon's post ah well whatever. :p

I would recommend you to take a look at Babelzilla. All the translation stuff is going on there. Look for a topic about the German translation or just search bit to see how you can report this.

That would be strange. Install the add-on and go to view -> Ghost Tracks. Then the add-on will search for songs that are in your database but not on your pc (or the right place) any more.

If that really doesn't work be more specific about what your problem really is.
