Richard Jones started following the idea "Apple should allow for app's to run in the background on the iPhone." in Apple.
Richard Jones shared an idea in Apple on May 17, 2009 21:49:
Edit button required on contact page when adding new information received in a smsIf a friend sends me a text message with a new email address in it or if the text is from an existing friend but on a new number I have the option to add the new information to an existing contact. Excellent so far.
I choose the contact form the list and I get to choose whether this email/number is home/mobile/work etc. Then I save. Now, that new information usually makes the current contact information old and redundant so I will want to remove the old information. I usually do this when on a contact page by touching the 'Edit' button in the top right corner. But the button isn't there when I've gone through this process.
Seems like an easy fix. Just add the 'Edit' button. At the moment, after adding the new info, I have to press the home button, go into contacts, find the contact again, and then edit their info. Grrr.
Cheers,
R

Yes, I've discovered this too and so have a lot of other people.
Please fix this Apple. It seems like such a simple thing you've forgotten.
Richard Jones replied on March 02, 2009 22:09 to the problem "When using the Remote App, songs don't play immediately." in Apple:
Hmmm, I'm not sure whether this has been fixed or not. When the Apple TV is on (white light on) the songs do start automatically when selected.
However, when the Apple TV is in "Standby" (white light off), it is still possible to browse Apple TV songs on my iPhone using the Remote app and also play the songs. I use this state to play music when I don't want the TV on. It is in this state that songs don't start automatically when I would prefer that they would.
But I am not sure whether the on state has been fixed or not. I'll admit my first post was based on the Apple TV being off and songs not starting automatically. I can't remember whether they started straight away when on.
Richard Jones reported a problem in Apple on January 25, 2009 19:18:
When using the Remote App, songs don't play immediately. When I select a song in the iPod App on my Iphone, it starts playing immediately (it changes screen to the album cover art and the play icon turns into a pause icon).
However, when using the Remote App (which mirrors the iPod App functionality in almost every way) to control music playing on my Apple TV, I select a song and it changes screen to the album cover art, but it doesn't start automatically, I have to press the play icon. This is just a bit annoying as it is expected behaviour from the iPod App. I always forget about this bug and put the phone back in my pocket and then 5 seconds later I go "why is my song not playing.....DOH!"
Please fix this in the next update.
Richard Jones replied on January 25, 2009 19:07 to the problem "Why does my Apple TV keep turning on?" in Apple:
[When I am talking about it being on, I mean when the shiny LED is on and it is able to display something on the TV.]
I have this problem, but don't have the freeze issue. Approximately every 3 days I find it turned on which is annoying because it will go into screensaver mode and because I have it set to flickr accounts, it is surely using up my broadband allowance. How dare it!
Not sure whether it is required to be on to synchronise because it delivers music to my speakers without being on (I control is using my iPhone Remote app). Basically, I don't have to turn on my TV to use and control it (love it).
Great product, but this is annoying.
