Site updateOver the last couple of months or so, we have been steadily knocking out bugs while making things easiler to use or find.
As you've noticed, the profile creation page has been completely revamped. This was in large part because it was getting to complicated to manage as it grew and expanded. New menu items have been added on the very top (to the right of the company logo) to reflect what was in the profile.
As of a few minutes ago, the code for the site banner was changed so it doesn't take nearly as long to load the Top 27 profile images ( i could make it 30, but the images would be to small on higher resolutions).
Tech Requests:
Please, if your profile doesn't update the first couple of times, please don't keep trying. When an update fails - for whatever reason - the script sends me an email with a description of the failure and where it occurred in the script. Under normal circumstances, i can have it fixed that day.
Bug Submissions:
When you submit a bug for review, please don't just tell us that its there, specially if it has to do with albums or sales. Please send an email to tech@watunes.com and include your login information, along with your username_id (same as your profile_id), and how to duplicate the issue.
The more detailed you are, the quicker i can get the problem resolved for you.
If you have any suggestions or comments, feel free to send them to kevin.
Thank you!

Company Update / New FeaturesFolks, for those of you who have uploaded profile pictures, please check to see if they are displaying. As i was redoing the banner, i noticed several instances where the file name was recorded in the database, but there was no physical file. For those, i edited your entry in the database to remove the filename.
Please use conventional naming schemes, as i also noticed several people with filenames like a_146841492059792010395985.jpg, and while there's nothing technically wrong with it, when the file name was being inserted into the database, it was cut off after 30 characters, which ment that it couldn't display the proper picture. I had to edit those entries so that the filenames would be correct. I have since extended the max characters to 100. The length will not extended any further. So if you find that you're images aren't showing up, check 3 things.
a - file size
b - character length (and yes, spaces do count)
c - file format
Images are automatically resized to 110 x 110, no matter what size you upload.
I also added another field to the contacts tab. This one is for those that have an itunes account. You can enter your account name (ex. kevinrivers), and when you look at the profile, you'll see a button to the right of the profile views.

More than likely, its something on your end, maybe with your isp. I talked it over with the other techs and poored through the code. Other than that file size limit, there's nothing else that would prevent that large of a file from being uploaded.
Temporary FTP access is possible, but its a last resort.
I tested with a 100mg file last night. it went up with out a hitch. So about all i can tell you is to keep trying.

We put up a new script, so the details and upload are done on the same script now. There hasn't been any reported issues so far, and from the look of the database, it looks like it works :D
Now you can upload your cover art and music seperately, and unless you're doing multiple tracks, singles can be uploaded either as a wav or as a mp3 file.

Changes to the Album Submission ProcessSince many of you are having issues with the upload process, we have made things a little easier when submitting and uploading albums.
We have changed the process a little bit. After you enter your album details, a screen will come up asking you to select the cover art and the album. You can upload standard picture formats (i.e., jpg, gif, etc) and for audio, you can upload mp3's and wav's
