A comment on the problem "Comcast isn't worth the money and stress!" in Comcast:
I've sent you all the info a MONTH ago and obviously you don't read your email and just ask people to send info for the benefit of looking responsive on the website. Nothing really gets resolved, just pushed away. Not a good way to do business. – Rick, on May 28, 2009 22:21

Comcast isn't worth the money and stress! That's right, after 2 months of interrupted service, a dozen technicians who got paid to sit in my house for an hour and tell me my line signal was bad, 3 line crews that sat around and ate lunch or never showed up, ignorant supervisors and leads who always insisted on sending them out without escalating the issue; I've decided enough is enough.
IF you are doing any kind of business from home, video conferencing, voice chat, or online gaming; I do not recommend Comcast. This company is a technological slug who is way behind on technology, expertise and customer service.
I've written several articles, blogs and twitters about my ongoing experiences with comcast and hopefully the communities will get the word out to stay away and save themselves the hassle and stress.
It feels GOOD to be free. Trust me on this.

I've been blogging and twittering about my comcast problems and letting the communities know how comcast has been dealing (or rather not dealing) with my signal problems. Random hourly disconnects and 500k would not be my idea of highspeed internet. They've broken their contract with me I've kept every conversation recorded for an insightful article about my experiences with comcast.

I've forwarded you all the info and have yet to see any resolutions or escalations of this this issue. Do you need more info? It seems that this is a reoccuring issue that hasn't been resolved for multiple customers who were a part of earthlink and now comcast. These are EXACTLY the same complaints that have no been resolved.

At wit's end with comcast highspeedI've had problems with my comcast service for over a month now. High latency and random drops every 10mins to hourly disconnects along with a sudden drop in speed to half what I'm normally getting. They've sent 4 technicians to look at the problem. Some have replaced the modem and even the drop line to the house. They all agree that the signal coming from the hard wire is weak. This I could've told them from doing my own trace routes the disconnect logs. One employee even claimed he escalated the problem and got a line crew to come although I never got info about it. Obviously the issue has never been resolved.
I'm at my wit's end and as a writer for the local press, I find it hard to keep comcast out of my article for best and worst in Houston. After all I'm using the internet to upload my articles and conference with my editor. If I can't work from home then it's time to switch companies and call it a loss.
After 5 years of time warner/earthlink continuous service, I'm truly dissapointed with comcast taking them over. If they spent as much money fixing their mistakes as they did spamming the tele with commercials, I think their customers would have better experiences with their service. Be it as it may, I hope the pen is mightier than the tech support calls.
