Without my doing anything I'm aware of, this error message has been replaced by another one when I try to synch: "Xmarks Exception [source: internal, id: -50] Conflict: duplicate nids detected on insert WyFCy; bnid 6pJrG3,bnid:" Actually, the gobbledegook at the end there seems to change with a fresh attempt to synch! It's Internet Explorer 7 and Windows Vista in English. Thanks for your help.

I keep running up against this message: "Internal error while writing to your favorites. Xmarks Exception [source: windows_shell, id -2147024894]: SHParseDisplayName for Links folder error". Using IE7 and Vista. Any advice? It blocks all my attempts to overwrite my local favourites with a download.

Why has Spotify gone quiet and refused to reinstall?
Trying to reinstall/update Spotify because the sound no longer works, but every time I do so, I get the message "Spotify is open. Please close it first" -- even though it isn't open.
