A comment on the question "Did you fall for Charter rebate scam? Grrrrrr!" in Charter Communications:
I wrote a letter to the Attorney General, Justice Dept., of my state (Oregon). After months of fruitless attempts to "talk" with Charter, Charter phoned me as a direct result of my letter to the AG. Charter offered to credit my account with the full amount of the denied rebate. It was a slow process, but it turned out okay. It was a dead end road without the AG's action. Good luck. – Ripped Off, on May 28, 2009 00:53

Local office cannot provide what did not exist. Charter did not generate 4/23/08 new service statement until 8/11/08. Rebate offers ($50 for new service and $69.99 for modem) required submission within 60 days and required FIRST STATEMENT to accompany rebate forms. Therefore I was ineligible for those rebates. (I did receive the $20 rebate that did not require statement.) I have never had such a frustrating and eime-consuming experience as working with Charter has been. Hopefully you, CharterMatt, will be the exception.

Did you fall for Charter rebate scam? Grrrrrr!$140 rebates promised to new High speed internet subscribers. I signed up. Service has been in effect for 3 months. In spite of my hounding Customer Service 5 times, Charter has still failed to send me a statement. Statement needed to go with rebate forms - within 60 days. Customer service has repeatedly lied. "It's in the mail." I've been taken and I feel ANGRY and helpless! Has this happened to you?
