This sounds interesting to say the least. Mostly because I just migrated to linux and got hooked on Banshee. I generally don't use spotify that much, mainly because I don't like it's layout and lack of plugins.
Sadly I only have very basic programming skills and I don't have any knowledge in C or C#. I would like to help though, if there is any "manual" labour you would need.
How is this all progressing for you? -

Very nice! I guess I will still stick to MinTrayR until there is a toolboar like this wich can show artist, song and album art etc. You're well on the way though, appreciate it! -

Well, it's just a matter finding someone who could make this. I'd love to help with graphical elements and other inputs, such as what features it should have and so on :) -

Songbird miniplayer in taskbarWell, I was stuck with windows media palyer until I heard about songbird. Finally an open audioplayer with the looks of iTunes and customization options of windows media player/winamp etc. put together. And more!
Now, there is but one thing that is keeping me from really wanting to switch player. I miss the miniplayer in the taskbar wich you could have with windows media player.
Please, is this a feature you could add? If not, is there any interest in developing a plugin like this?
I'd love to help with what I can, but at the moment my abilities to make or code plugins is next to none. I just don't have the knowledge to do it.
