Scott.....your magic worked again. I didn't reinstall, i just did a upgrade. So I went to Firefox -> Addons-> Plugins->Disabled Flash and then Enabled it again. Then everything starts working now. This tip might be helpful for some future reference. I dont know if you maintain a troubleshooting page. I didn't find one or else i would have posted this.

It was my some script issue, which made it failed silently.
I rewrote that and now I am good to go..

Scott, I tried this on couple of other browsers. IE and safari works great. its just firefox 2 and 3 are giving this issue. I tried in two different machines. Both machines are core 2 duos and both has almost no CPU utilization. Its strange that I am the only one running into this problem :-) . I am using 20080808 version of your code. BTW I tried with 9.0.0.115 and 9.0.0.124 version of flash player on both the browsers.

Hi, Sorry for not giving you full details.
I am trying to use soundmanager in a web application.
I use firefox 2.0.0.16 on windows xp professional. My webbrowser has flash 9 installed but I use the default soundmanager2.js configuration that is flash 8.
I use firebug to debug the app. First I didn't specify any callbacks and through firebug I can see I get only couple of calls to _whileplaying function, after which I dont get any more calls.
Then I had a separate thread in my application to check the value of variable 'position'. This value doesn't change either.
But while all this happens I could listen to my mp3s and also if I do a setPosition( time) it works.
Then I tried this website http://www.schillmania.com/projects/s...=1.
I see the play clock progressing for couple of seconds and after sometime it doesn't change. Hope I gave enough information. Please let me know if you need any other info.
