Rob replied on February 05, 2009 22:30 to the question "Why Demo first? I'd like to buy online now." in EventVue:
ok, you win our "favorite question of the month" award :)
we definitely want you to be able to buy online now. and yes it is old school to require a demo and talk to someone.
so you're totally right...expect us to deliver something that might make you "happy" soon...
until then, want to do it the old school way and chat by phone? call me at 650.353.7702.

Rob replied on July 17, 2008 23:54 to the question "I already have an EventVue account from another conference. Can I just use that?" in EventVue:
Yes, absolutely. If you used the same email to register for both conferences, you're good to go. If you used different email addresses for each conference, please get in touch with us and we'll merge your accounts.

Rob replied on July 17, 2008 23:52 to the question "Why do my tags not show up on the home page?" in EventVue:
There are more tags for each conference than we could possibly show on one page without overwhelming you. We choose to show the most popular tags in each conference community to help you understand a broad picture of what's important to the conference as a whole. You will still appear in a search for one of your tags.

Rob replied on July 17, 2008 23:49 to the question "Why did EventVue block my message?" in EventVue:
EventVue will block your message if you have sent highly similar messages within a short period of time. You can avoid having EventVue block your messages by personalizing each message you send. This system is in place to protect conference attendees from people who would abuse the tool. If you believe your message was blocked in error, please let us know.

Rob replied on July 17, 2008 23:42 to the question "What goes in my seeking?" in EventVue:
This is a great place for you to share any particular needs that you have along with reasons why you're coming to the conference. If you're hoping to meet potential candidates for a job or if you're hoping to learn how to integrate green practices in to your business, this is a great place to share that.

Rob replied on July 17, 2008 23:32 to the question "Why do you want my phone number?" in EventVue:
Giving us your phone number is optional. We have plans of introducing some really cool features in the future that will make it really easy to exchange contact information with other attendees at a conference using EventVue. Relax. We will not share your phone number with anyone without your permission and we will never call you for marketing purposes.
Rob replied on July 17, 2008 23:28 to the question "I don't want people contacting me. Can I opt out?" in EventVue:
Yes, you can. You can choose to completely hide your profile from EventVue communities. You will still be able to log in to EventVue, but other conference attendees will not be able to see your profile or contact you. However, if you choose to do this, you may miss out on making that perfect connection at the conference that makes it all worthwhile.

Rob replied on July 17, 2008 23:23 to the question "Do you sell my email address, spam me, or otherwise do shady things with my email?" in EventVue:
No. We are committed to the privacy of all EventVue users. We will never sell your email address to third party marketers. Moreover, we will not share your email address with any other EventVue user without your explicit permission. Additionally, you can opt out of receiving notification emails from EventVue about new messages for you or other relevant news from the EventVue community.
Rob replied on July 17, 2008 23:19 to the question "Why didn't I get an invite email?" in EventVue:
Sounds like we were foiled by your spam filter. We really do want you to be invited, so please check your spam folder for the invitation email. You can also enter the email address that you used to register for the conference in our reset password tool and we'll send you a personalized link that will allow you to reset your password.
If you still have problems signing in, let us know (contact@eventvue.com).

Rob replied on July 17, 2008 23:10 to the question "How do I sign up for EventVue?" in EventVue:
EventVue is a closed community for registered conference attendees to help them get the most of the networking experience. When you register for an EventVue-powered conference or event, we'll create an account for you and send an email inviting you to join the community for your conference.
EventVue communities are typically not open to the public and you have to register for the conference or event to be a part of the fun.
Rob shared an idea in Filtrbox, Inc on March 27, 2008 01:01:
Let's make filtrs better together!I'd like to be able to collaborate on filtr refining with other people. It's cool that I can share a filtr with someone else -- it would be cooler if we could improve it together.
