How do you report a spam blog?Has the process for reporting a spam blog changed? The contact form no longer seems to be the way to do it.-

Rob Cottingham replied on February 26, 2009 03:10 to the idea "Offer more browsing options" in Pointless Corp.:
Doug and Carolyn, thanks for getting back so quickly. Doug: my browsing needs are going to vary case by case. Sometimes it'll be geographical - what talks are happening near me? who are the well-received speakers in Seattle and Vancouver? Other times, I'd be browsing by topic - which social media talks are happening in the next few months? And I'd want to be able to constrain those, so I'm browsing upcoming talks on social media in the Pacific Northwest.
Similarly, when it comes to search, I'd want to combine dimensions - for example, expertise level, topic and target audience. So I could search for an intermediate-level talk on skills training geared to executives. Or a beginner's talk on peak oil pitched to the general public... and delivered by someone with keywords "engaging", "lively" or "funny."
Carolyn: that would be a great step. I'd find it really handy: as a prospective attendee, and as a speaker looking for conferences to pitch.-

Allow video uploads from talksThere are few better ways to assess a speaker than to see them in action... and assessing speakers (should I book her? should I attend his talk?) is the reason most visitors are probably going to be using the site. Conceivably, videos could be provided by the speaker, event organizer or attendees.

Allow keyword tagging in reviewsPresentation styles are often a matter of taste, not numerical rating; for many audience members, "high-energy" and "motivational" would be just as repelling as they would be irresistible to others. That makes those qualitative descriptors at least as important as numbers - and being able to navigate by them would be potentially even more useful.
Instead of forcing users to dive into the individual comments for a speaker, it would be handy if they could see some combination of structured keywords - tagging a talk as "funny", "informative" or "practical", for instance - and free tagging. Those keywords would also arguably be less vulnerable to gaming than raw numbers.-

Offer more browsing optionsWhile there is a page that lists three well-reviewed and three recently-added speakers, as well as five speakers with upcoming gigs, that's very limited. It would be great to be able to browse rather than have to search events or speakers.-
