    No. XMarks has been using almost 100% CPU, and when I lower the priority of the process, it seems to slow down IE.

    I will see if I can download from server, then upload to server, and then copy my pre-existing Favorites and then re-sync.

    This solution doesn't really help me: if I do th "Upload" options, that means everything that I have on the server will be overwritten. I don't want to lose what I already have. Am I supposed to back up my Favorites on each system and then do the upload? And then do a sync on each system?

    Xmarks works fine on one system, but on another, it uses 100% CPU for a long time, then eventually returns the error message:
    "Unexpected error during synchronization. XmarksException [source: internal, id:-50]: No solution converged after 1000 iterations."

    This system is running Internet Explorer 7 (IE7). Both systems are essentially the same configuratiojn.

    I did read through the forums first, and the only relevent case had the guy download from the server. That's not an option in my case because XMarks has never worked successfully on this system, and I don't want to wipe out the Favorites.

    These are established system that have been running for years. Looking for a better solution, because I want to merge everything. The only viable option seems to be to save my Favorites somewhere else, do a download, then copy the saved Favorites to merge them into the downloaded Favorites.

    I'm hoping there is a less cumbersome solution.

    On an unrelated note, XMarks has negatively impacted the performance of IE, it seems, as it's been noticeably slower. Not sure if that is just a coincidence.
