Well, that plugin from what i gather just indescriminently deletes any of the duplicate files without precision. whats needed is a "watching for duplicates mechanism', like watching a folder.... that way you can snag them as they happen and kind of figure out why - i have for years somehow always had 1000's of duplicates. Everytime itunes rescans or re-configures where the library is ( its almost always been on a network or attached drive and itunes flips back to default library folder whenever i lose the connection..) it seems to create duplicates.... its a constant nightmare and i have tried asking, researching for a solution....duplicate annihalator, and dupes are apps that say they help but i end up just having to go through and manually delete every damn dupe every month or so...its a nightmare and kills the joy of listening to my music... if you have any ideas i would be interested in them....maybe i should write an add on myself? but i dont know where to start, never written anything other than php!
