Is this still being considered? I tend to highlight the "you don't have to register, you can use one of your existing accounts" (a.k.a. openid support) feature to convince my contacts to join some websites, so it'd be great if LinkedIn implemented this.

Eric, do you know if they were able to check this yesterday as you mentioned? I just tested it again a few minutes ago, but it doesn't seem to be fixed yet. Just wanted to let you know.
