The mobile site works great but I still cannot upload files. A email service, like the one on Flickr would be great. With this, phone compatibilty shouldn't be an issue. I use a Samsung i600 Black Jack with Windows Mobile 5. I would really, really like to send pics from my mobile. Thanks.

1. The 'continue reading...' bug was only there for a little bit... sorry about that. You can now read long posts.

2. There are several mobile devices that can do this and we didn't want to disable that functionality when we created the site.

Tumblr has some great email posting options, even emailing an audio file.

I'd use Pownce even more if I could post by email with attachments or SMS/MMS

I agree. Actually I was surprised (even slightly flabbergasted) to discover there was no m.pownce.com or even the old (and outdated) www.pownce.com/wap.
Maybe it's different in the US, but here in Europe mobile alternatives are pretty much standards.

I really like Pownce, but until it gets out of the comp, I will keep on with Twitter.

IMNSHO, mobile interface and an open API are basics for the survival of social apps in Web 2.0.

You can already use IMified for that if You have some sort of IM client installed on Your phone. Just getting notified won't work as notifications don't reach their destination in general, so it seems.
