A comment on the problem "X3D Anchor to another X3D scene always opens a new browser window" in Vivaty:
Hi Mark,
it has been quite a while since your last post. Does Vivaty plan to fix the issue?
Kind Regards,

robsta reported a problem in Vivaty on April 30, 2009 07:02:
X3D Anchor to another X3D scene always opens a new browser windowHello,
in my X3D world I want to provide a door which acts as a link to another X3D world/room and thus replaces the first room with the second room in the browser. I achieved this by using the X3D Anchor element. After updating the Vivaty player this doesn't work properly anymore. With the new version of the player the link always opens a new browser window instead of staying in the same browser window.
With an old Flux player version which I fortunately found somewhere on my disk this works properly. This behavior is even specified by the X3D standard http://www.web3d.org/x3d/specifications/ISO-IEC-19775-1.2-X3D-AbstractSpecification . Will this work in Vivaty player again? If it is a bug when will it be fixed?
Thanks in advance,
Robert
A comment on the question "Am I allowed to redistribute the Vivaty Player?" in Vivaty:
Hello heidi,
basically we develop a tool, which creates virtual exhibitions. The output is X3D. To view the result our users need a X3D plugin/player. After testing a while we think that Vivaty Player does a great job. Our users are not familiar with X3D and thus we thought that when installing our software also Vivaty Player could be installed. You must know that Vivaty Player is not a part of our software. Generally users can use which ever player they want to show the X3D result.

Am I allowed to redistribute the Vivaty Player? Are there any restrictions for the Vivaty Player in terms of redistribution? I've already searched www.vivaty.com and couldn't find any information on this. I also couldn't find any license agreement when installing Vivaty Player.
