A comment on the question "French translation" in Soup:
Hi. I want to take the opportunity to ask: what do you guys think about a public "call for translators"? I think it would help the service being popular and to better face the competition. :) I would like to help doing the Brazilian Portuguese translation. – Rod Molinaro, on April 22, 2009 16:13

A wiki for documentation and fansWhat do you guys think about to open up a wiki subdomain for documentation about the service, and also for Soup fans to post some tips and tricks, as well as their custom themes/CSS? It's so simple to have a wiki working in 2 minutes today's days (some good scripts have only 40kb), and I think it could aggregate even more value to the service. You can block some basic pages from public editing and leave some other sections to the users. The moderation can be very simple and, depending on the script being used in the site, you can leave part of the moderation to us. We can also post some screenshots of our tumblelogs at Soup and share the different ways we use them.

Thank you very much for answer!
I am an old Soup.io user, I'm here practically since the beginning, and I luv this service a lot. I'm very happy to be able to post my works here, since it's so difficult to find a good place online for this kind of purpose (maybe because all other services are based in USA, I think...). And I must to say that always when I even think on to make use of another service (the dead Pownce, Tumblr, Blogger, Posterous, and recently Flickr), I always come back to Soup, because of it's simplicity and amazing interface, and because of all the features that makes it a great service.
It's cool the way you guys have confidence with your users, I think this is amazing and a real step ahead in this "WEB2" middle. As an user I will never disappoint you, because I also have confidence in the service, and I see for a long time how it's being improved, and improved fast.
Keep rocking
Rod Molinaro asked a question in Soup on February 23, 2009 18:55:
I would like to post adult contentHi. I am a comic author and illustrator, and I would like to post some adult images (basically comics) on my Soup. I can mark my Soup as "stealth", no problem, since I don't want to show the content of my tumblelog to the wrong people, and also don't want it being showing on Soup's frontpage, because I agree that this is not cool, and this is not right. But, if possible, I would like to hear from Soup's team not only an "Yes" or "No", but your opinion about posting adult content in this site. If the answer is "No", I would like to suggest a new feature for this purpose, like a warning page/message with a click to enter/click to back to Soup's homepage (like seeing in Blogger's blogs), or something like that.
Thank you very much-
