Could you please run "ping update.wuala.com" in a terminal and post the output here? As bagelcat said, the start should be quite fast as Wuala starts downloading/updating those classes needed first to show the GUI.

Another trick would be to force your 64bit jvm into 32bit mode:

Just add -d32 to the startup command, e.g. like this:
$JAVA -ea -d32 -Xmx64m -jar ./loader2.jar -installed "$@"

How did you start Wuala? Did you use the web start feature? This should force your JVM into 32bit mode.

Goto MyFiles and click somewhere on the header (description, your age etc). This enables the edit mode. Now you should see a "Set Image" link below your profile.

We don't delete old fragments from nodes because it's not necessary at the moment. We might change this in the future if it becomes a problem.

are you sure? what happens when you execute the following from a shell:
cd wuala (assuming there is a wuala folder in your home directory)
