Oh, come on. Do you seriously expect some on to catapult to the top of the leaderboard by winnings on voided questions? I don't think so.
Anyway, the power user system coming into effect will stop bad questions from being bet on, so the winnings on voided questions will be minimal. In my opinion - taking away gains on voided questions is a bad idea.
Tom- Your thoughts are absolutely right. Carrying out this scheme would alienate a lot of people from the site.
rohan replied on February 11, 2008 16:03 to the question "Another new rule?" in Hubdub:
Tom,
Thanks for the reply. However, I feel that this gets a bit unfair in some questions. For example if the suspend date is three or four days before the actual outcome, then there is scope for a change of views. So, maybe you could let us cash-in during suspension time?
You could also try a small penalty(say 10%) for cash-ins
rohan asked a question in Hubdub on February 11, 2008 03:39:
Another new rule?I've noticed that I cannot cash-in on suspended questions, which I could do before. New rule?

Destry's reply to "Should Hubdub players be allowed to "hide" their predictions by making them private? What is the rational for this feature?" was just promoted to the most useful! rohan and 2 other people think it's one of the best replies.

Somehow, I've noticed that I never run into any problems with the server(even on Monday). People keep complaining in different questions about the leaderboard not being available or questions not being accessible etc. , but I have yet to face a problem with the site(And not because I'm an irregular user...). I wonder why?
