Travis (and all of you...),
Sorry about this, we had an IT issue for the last several hours.
Our IT team has just finished fixing it, we are still testing the system for complete uptime but as of now everything is working again.
(all published images were appearing through out the problem only the website displayed the above problem).
Sorry about this. we are working this Sunday to make sure this won't happen again.

Roi Gold replied on November 01, 2009 15:32 to the question "Can you move the filmstrip?" in PicApp:
Hi Diane,
the filmstrip helps us monetize our service by "encouraging" users to click on related images and get a photo gallery supported by ads.
We understand the issue you're raising and we are currently checking less intrusive options. Keep an eye on us hopefully we can improve the look & feel to be closer to your taste soon.
Thank you for the feedback.

Roi Gold replied on September 22, 2009 20:18 to the problem "Site Down, Photos On Blog Disappeared" in PicApp:
Hey all,
We indeed had some series IT issues today on our hosting and domain companies.
Our DNS records were damaged thus disconnecting all picapp domains and sub-domains.
Our IT team has lost several years of their expected life term by understanding the problem source and solving it. Actually several hosting company employee lives were saved by the fact that none of our IT team have licenses or knowledge of using any weapons.
We take this issue very seriously and understand the meaning of image un availability on your blogs. I really can't tell you how bad we feel about letting you down. We apologize and hope that you'll give us another chance to prove ourselves.
Garry, about your comment: we don't take your users to a news source. this change was made months ago in which instead of displaying brut ads on the image surface as other companies do, we display a "related images" bar that present dynamic images related to the image subject, clicking it opens a new PicApp page (not override the blog) that displays a gallery of related images thus giving your users a free additional service. we are working to make the experience better and less intrusive.
Again, sorry for the inconvenience.
Roi Gold replied on September 22, 2009 20:04 to the question "Pic App going to lose people..." in PicApp:
Hi Gary,
First, thank you for the feedback.
The related images bar is our current way of monetizing our image service.
We started with displaying specific ads on the images but understood that our users want minimum interruption on their images.
Instead of displaying brut ads on the images we implemented the related images bar that gives your readers a chance to see more images in that subject and experience it as an additional service and reducing the ads on your content area.
We are always trying to improve ourselves for our users, I'll be happy if you could contact me directly at discover@picapp.com, I'll be more than happy to hear more from you (I really mean that!) about your perspective and ideas, so we can keep getting better.
Roi Gold replied on August 18, 2009 06:46 to the question "PicApp Showcase??" in PicApp:
Hi realistdreamer,
Thanks for considering us!
If by implementations you mean "show me how PicApp images appear on blogs",
feel free to check our blog (http://blog.picapp.com//2009/08/16/us...) or other blogs like http://www.celebitchy.com/66017/brad_...
If you have other implementations in mind, please elaborate, we have a display of all widgets/gadgets/images on our blog.
If you have special requests or need, we'll be happy to hear about it to.
Roi

Hi Dave,
Sorry for the inconvenience. We are just in the progress of testing our plugin on the new version.
Can give more data about your environment (What OS, browser) so we can recreate the scenario?
Also if it's possible it'll be great if you can send us a screen shot of the problem to discover@picapp.com.
We'll test it and update you with a fix for it as fast as we can!

skllz,
I've just tested it on V 1.5.12 and worked like a charm (see attached image).
I've clicked on the "HTML" icon in the editor ("Edit HTML Source"),
pasted the PicApp image code in the place I anted and pressed "update".
The image was inserted as it should.
can you mail me personally to roi.gold at picapp.com and I'll reply with screen shot flow of the exact way I did it.

Roi Gold replied on June 28, 2009 06:51 to the question "Is picapps compatible with joomla?" in PicApp:
Hey skllz,
This might be a problem, displaying the images without specific items is agains our service terms.
can you pls:
1. give us your platform details (Joomla version, browser, related moduls installed etc.)
2. how are you embedding the image?
3. can you give us a URL for a page with the images displayed?
My advice for now, is pause the use of our images until we'll figure this out together.

Roi Gold replied on May 21, 2009 10:05 to the question "Can we create thumbnails from the images for navigation" in PicApp:
Hey Scot,
The answer is (if I can quote) "yes you can!".
The only restriction (see our terms page), is the that the thumb link will lead to a page with a display of the full image.
also to save you some time, our image code encapsulate the image source, foe example:
http://cdn.picapp.com/ftp/Images/7/a/4/c/Lady_GaGa_and_9123.jpg?adImageId=1167834&imageId=4709045
you can replace the :images" with "thumbnails" and get a direct thumbnail, see:
http://cdn.picapp.com/ftp/thumbnails/7/a/4/c/Lady_GaGa_and_9123.jpg?adImageId=1167834&imageId=4709045
voila!
tell me if this does the trick for you.
