Romy Ilano replied on May 13, 2009 19:57 to the update "Xumii Mobile App Upgrade 1.22.7" in Xumii:
Note: As the Xumii Groups are still in beta, you’ll be able to view the public groups that you have created or have already joined within your Xumii Mobile App. You can join a group on the P.C. version.
Romy Ilano replied on May 13, 2009 19:56 to the question "I have an iPhone. How do I chat in a Xumii Group?" in Xumii:
If you're an iPhone user, go to Safari and go to the url: m.xumii.com, then choose "Groups."
Or create a bookmark at this URL address: http://m.xumii.com/groups

You won't be going into Groups through your iPhone app, you'll be going through the mobile web.
And if your friends have an iPod Touch, that works fine too!

Romy Ilano replied on May 13, 2009 19:47 to the question "Which social networks / IM services can chat in a Xumii Group?" in Xumii:
Anyone can view a Xumii group.
To participate each user has to join Xumii first, but the beauty of Xumii groups is that you can participate under any of your social identities.
Social networks that can chat in the Xumii Group:
- Xumii
- Yahoo Messenger
- Facebook
- flickr
- Windows Live
- AIM
- imeem
- Google Talk
- MySpace
Another benefit is that once you've joined Xumii and added your particular social identity, you bring with you the vast network of contacts from that particular service... inviting these friends to a group is a one step process.

The Public Groups also make a grand appearance in the Xumii Mobile App that most Sony Ericsson and Nokia users have downloaded on their handsets.

As the Groups are still in Beta, you'll see a full list of the Public Groups that have created and joined.
You can still join a group from your mobile phone by pointing your mobile web browser to m.xumii.com

Xumii has launched a new beta feature called Public Groups. These Public Groups are a great way for you to chat with your friends from all your social networks even if they don’t have Xumii on their phone. All they have to do is go to http://www.xumii.com/groups/view to participate.
Sharing a group’s location is pretty easy whether it’s through E-Mail, blogging or even text messaging!

For this initial beta release we support all of the following browsers on the PC:
* Firefox 3
* Internet Explorer 7
* Safari 3
* Opera 9
* Chrome 1.0

* IE Mobile/Microsoft Mobile Explorer

Choose your Facebook photo album and then the photo. Write some snappy text and then click "Post".

- You can view your Mobile Wall outside of Facebook on your mobile phone if you have the Xumii Mobile App. Your Xumii friends can also view the Mobile Wall on their mobile phones if they've installed the Xumii Mobile App.

Most all of the earlier questions were automatically added to the product "Xumii Facebook App" - Now I cannot take them out. All the questions in this thread related to facebook chat are unrelated to our Facebook App.

Romy Ilano replied on May 08, 2009 23:17 to the question "What is the Xumii Facebook App?" in Xumii:
The Xumii Facebook App is, obviously, a Facebook App. That means you can install Xumii into your Facebook page.
It's basically the Xumii Mobile Wall, but in your browser as well as your phone, so your friends and family can leave you notes on your Facebook page, even if they're on their PC.

What's great is that if you have Xumii installed on your mobile phone, then you can read notes, share photos and videos and write on your friends' walls as well. And when you log into Facebook on your PC, you'll see your Mobile Wall in all its glory.
Download the Xumii Facebook App here:

* Note: the Xumii iPhone app doesn't yet have a Mobile wall, but the best is yet to come! Check back with us on our blog for more details.
