Yes, it's a pretty nifty Xumii feature. You can share your photos from flickr, facebook or imeem with contacts who are in your Xumii addressbook. They don't necessarily have to be on Facebook or flickr for you to share photos through Xumii either.

How do you do it?

- Go to Share Media on Xumii.
- Select one of your photo albums, then choose a photo.
- Choose "Share"
- In the Forward Attachment menu scroll through your contacts. They can be on AIM, Xumii, or even mobile phone contacts.

You can check out the hottest youtube videos from your phone no matter where you are. Here's how:

1. Open Xumii on your mobile phone and in the main menu select "Share Media."
2. Select the youtube tab.
3. Select the appropriate youtube category. At the moment you'll be able to choose between "Top Rated", "Most Viewed" and "Featured."
4. Select the video. In the pop-up menu select "Play video."

Not only can you check out videos, you can share them with friends.
1. Open up Xumii on your phone, select "Share media."
2. Select the youtube tab.
3. Find the right category, then find the video you want and select it.
4. In the pop-up menu select "share video."
5. You can share the video with any of your friends on all the major social networks. In the Forward attachment menu under "friends" select as many friends as you want, then click OK.
6. Edit the message that will accompany the video then select "OK".
7. Cool! Now your friends can see the cool video whether they're on their phone (they'll get an SMS with a link), at their computer chatting (a link will open up a browser window), or are using Xumii on their phones.

Even better, instead of going through each network one by one to change your own status, you can do everything all at once from within Xumii.

Setting the status on all your social networks at once:

1. Open Xumii on your phone.
2. In the main menu of your phone, click on Options.
3. Select Set my status.
4. Enter your status, then select the Apply option.

Setting Status on only one particular social network:

If you only want to change your status on MySpace but not on Google, you can be selective!

1. Open Xumii on your phone.
2. Select Options in the main menu.
3. Select Me.
4. Select which of your identities on which social network you want to change.
5. Select Options.
6. Click on Set my status.
7. Type in what your status is.
8. Select Apply.

Voila! Your status is now changed for that social network.

Setting your status as unavailable:

1. Open Xumii on your phone.
2. Select Options in the main menu.
3. Select Me.
4. Select Set unavailable.

Xumii groups are really handy--you can set a group up with various other Xumii members and chat privately whether they're online or offline. Members of a group can share videos, photographs, give each other gifts and talk about most everything under the sun.

Here's how to set up a Xumii group:

1. In the main menu of Xumii select Group Chat.
2. Select Others.
3. Select my own.
4. Click on Options and then Create Group.
5. Enter a name for your Group then click Apply.
6. Your Add Member page will list all of your Xumii contacts. These are your contacts who also have Xumii. At the moment only Xumii members can join groups.
7. Select all of your friends who you want to be in the group and then select OK.

You can give gifts to that special someone on Xumii, whether you’re chatting or stopping by and browsing their wall.

Giving gifts during a chat session

1. From the main menu of Xumii choose Find Friends.
2. Select your available contact.
3. In the menu select chat.
4. While you’re talking with your friend, you’ll want to give them a gift!
5. Click on Options, then Send gift.
6. You’ll open up the gift menu with a list of available gifts. Select your gift–you have the option of sending it or previewing it. When you’re ready select send gift.
7. In the Enter Message menu write a message to accompany your gift.
8. Select Apply. Your friend has now received their gift!

Post a gift on your friends’ wall

1. If your friend has a Xumii account, they’ll also have a wall. You’ll be able to post gifts and leave messages for them on this wall whether they’re online or not.
2. From the main menu of Xumii select Find Friends.
3. Select the Xumii tab. Select your Xumii friend.
4. Select wall from the pop-up menu.
5. When viewing their wall, click Options.
6. Select Post gift.
7. Select the gift you want to give your friend. In the pop up menu select send gift.
8. You can edit the accompanying message as you wish, then select Apply.
9. Your gift will now be posted on their wall for everyone to see!

Yes you're right--if you want to chat with Facebook and MySpace friends on Xumii, make sure that they also get Xumii.

- notification about your socnet--I'm not sure what you mean by that? You can see your friends' facebook status updates and so on but you won't be able to access your Facebook applications through Xumii.

- You can add all your contacts from your social communities by logging into the Xumii account page either through the website https://www.xumii.com/auth/signin or your phone's mobile web browser.

Then after you've added your contacts, all of your contacts will already be in your phone when you load Xumii up!

Xumii doesn't sent you directly to a partner website or mobile site like MySpace or Facebook.

What happens is that once you download Xumii to your mobile phone and register, you're able to check on friends on most all of the major social networks from one place instead of visiting tons of different sites.

With Facebook and Myspace you are able to check up your friends' status updates, update your own status, and share or add pictures to those sites.

Once you invite your Facebook and MySpace friends to Xumii and they become Xumii members you'll also be able to chat with them, form groups, and post on their Xumii mobile walls.

Note that you can also chat and share media with contacts from imeem, MSN, yahoo, Google and AIM as well.
