Ron replied on January 14, 2009 17:05 to the question "What are kwiry Shortcuts?" in kwiry:
You can now use kwiry to directly add movies to your Netflix queue, get Amazon results straight to your e-mail, and add appointments to your calendar!
For example, if a friend recommends a movie at lunch, simply text “netflix” followed by the movie title to 59479 (k-w-i-r-y). kwiry automatically adds the movie to your Netflix queue and the movie arrives on your doorstep – no more scribbling down the name on a napkin or forgetting the recommendation.
kwiry’s Shortcuts feature includes the following services:
• TiVo: Send a message with “tivo” followed by the name of a TV program to kwiry (e.g. tivo 30 rock) and the show will be scheduled on your TiVo DVR. More here.
• Netflix: Send a message with “netflix” followed by the name of a movie to kwiry (e.g. netflix mystic river) and the movie will be added to your Netflix queue. More here.
• Amazon: Text “amazon” followed by the name of a product (e.g. amazon jawbone headset) to get search results straight to your e-mail. More here.
• Yelp: Text "yelp Grimaldis Pizza" and get contact info, reviews and more from Yelp sent to your e-mail inbox. More here.
• Status: Text "status headed to the gym" and kwiry will update your Facebook and/or Twitter accounts. More here.
• Contact: Text "contact johndoe@gmail.com" to email contact info and Vcard attachment while on the go. More here.
• Task: Add an appointment to your calendar via text message using the shortcut word “task” (e.g. task buy anniversary gift 8-25). More here.
• List: Send in multiple kwirys in one text message with the “list” shortcut (e.g. list alicia keys, www.chucknorrisfacts.com, get dry cleaning). More here.
• Private: Mark a specific kwiry private so only you can see it. Text “p” followed by your kwiry (e.g. p buy anniversary gift for sarah) and only you will see it at kwiry.com or on Facebook. More More here.
Here’s how to get started:
1. Sign-up here for a kwiry account if you haven’t already.
2. For the TiVo, Netflix, status and contact shortcuts, add your credentials to your kwiry account here. Don’t worry, we only use your account information to get you signed up and encrypt your information to keep it completely private.
3. Next time you’re away from your computer and think of a movie you want to add to Netflix, product you want to check out, etc. - send in a kwiry via Text Message, Email, Twitter or Jott with the shortcut word first, e.g. “netflix mystic river”
4. Read your confirmation later in your email or in your inbox at www.kwiry.com
Tip: Away from your computer and want to remember all the shortcuts available? Just text "shortcut" to 59479 and we'll send you back a list of all the shortcuts. Want help with how to use a specific shortcut? Just text the name of that shortcut, like "netflix" to kwiry and we'll respond with info on how to use it!

Hi ZelldaHack,
No problem.
1. Set your primary account e-mail as the "receive e-mail". If it's not already your default e-mail, change it here: https://www.kwiry.com/account/#email.
2. Go here (https://www.kwiry.com/account/#email) and click "add an email address". This will be your "send e-mail"
3. Send an e-mail to save@kwiry.com from the email you entered in step 1 with your kwiry content in either the subject OR the body of the e-mail.
4. You'll receive an e-mail with results to the e-mail you specified in step 1.
Let me know if you'd like more info on any of these steps and if it works for you!

Hi ZelldaHack - Does your mobile device have e-mail? You can send kwirys to save@kwiry.com and they're processed the same way as text messages. Make sure that the from address is the one you used to sign-up for kwiry OR you can add additional e-mail addresses in the account section at www.kwiry.com. Let us know if it works for you!
Ron replied on January 05, 2009 03:08 to the question "Can I use kwiry internationally?" in kwiry:
Happytodd - thanks for the suggestion and appreciate the encouragement! Unfortunately, the costs for international text messaging short codes are in the tens of thousands of dollars per country and these costs are ongoing, so a simple donations tab won't solve that. We'll definitely add new countries as soon as we're able, in the meantime - we encourage folks to use one of the many options for sending in kwirys internationally that are outlined above.
