Just make sure the flap is closed on the corners! I've ridden/walked in terrible weather, and my inside was bone dry as long as I remembered to keep it closed properly.

No offense, but why don't we get shipping refunded when we send back a bag with a terrible mistake in it? I sent one in once because someone reused the liner, and it was full of a row of holes. I was out $20 to ship that back, and I live in the US? I understand that a warranty is great. But this was a case of being sold a bag that should have been thrown away, and I was out case to wait a month to get a replacement? (and I had to pay to ship that, one, too)

My three messengers all have different straps (2005, 2008, 2009). The suppliers must change or something? But yeah, my older one is the stiffest. I actually hated the softest (2008) one because it didn't feed very well through the cam buckle. My latest feels very nice so far, but it just got here. :)

Mine are softer, too. One I got in 2008 frayed in a week. My recent custom bag is definitely softer than my last one (2005), but it's not the mushy strap on my 2008 bag.
