Ron reported a problem in Best Buy on September 30, 2009 14:12:

    Ron
    No Service from PSP warranty!
    Hi Allan,

I checked with the repair shop this morning (Wed) the first part they sent was the wrong part, I believe due to this shade-tree tech they hooked me up with at first. The part they received this time was also defective. How long does this go on? If I hadn't bought the extended warranty, I would've delivered the TV to them, they could order the parts direct and if they had this problem, I would have a loaner TV! All for $350-$400, I'm gonna weigh that heavily on ever buying a warranty from Best Buy, if I ever buy anything else from you guys. This is pathetic for service. Please contact me if there is anything else to be done. If the contractor can't even get working parts to the repair centers, the consumers aren't getting service. I'm about had all I can stand with this situation. I'm going to be calling TV stations and newspapers if something doesn't happen soon. I know you can't perform miracles, but it seems this should be deemed not repairable and I should get a TV. I looked through the forums more in the last few days (since i don't have a TV to watch) and it seems a lot of people are having this same trouble. If Best Buy is selling the warranty they should be liable for the quality of service. You guys are gonna lose a lot of customers because of this subcontracted warranty. I hope we can get this resolved soon. Thanks again for your effort so far.

    Subject: TV Repair

    Hi Ron,

I just got an email from the manager I emailed about your repair, and she said that they were able to get the part needed for the repair. They had the part sent to the service center via UPS next day air, and the service center received the part yesterday. The service center should install the part, and once they do they should contact you to arrange for them to return the TV to your home. This of course is assuming that the part resolves the issue. I will check on this repair on Monday 9/28/2009. Since we were able to get the part needed we were not able to replace your TV at this time. Thanks for your patience in this matter!
