I tried adding some subscripttions - and down downloads are happening but not finishing.... I think the files get into the directory but perhaps not into the library (have not hunted there yet)

But nothing happened.
Brand new install of songbird,

So I downloaded a Geekbrief (smaller) and tried importing it. I can import it but it has no metadata - and when I try to edit the metadata songbird says it cant write the new metadata back to the file (I do have full rights to both the file and the directory it is in.)

I guess Songbird does keep it's own copy of the meta data. – RonH, on July 31, 2008 18:44

What is the proper way do add a podcast to a songbird library? In this case I have already downloaded an MP3 of a podcast and it rests on my desktop. This is a podcast that I have several episodes from iTunes already in the library.
