Ronius reported a problem in Sony on April 29, 2009 16:41:
When will Sony listen on Get Satisfaction? There is a massive communnity of people willing to help with problems and suggest ideas for Sony's Products, in particular (but not limited to!) the PS3.
However, none of the posts (at least in the PS3 or PSP sections) have ANY replies from anyone at Sony.
This year will be a make or break year for their PS3 console, which I believe could well cause massive problems for Sony if they don't get it right. Which is a shame, as I have been loyal to Sony product range for the past 12 years. Which is about half of my life.
PLEASE, listen to your loyal customers on this valuable site. Even better, promote it as your primary customer support method. The open discussion of problems, solutions, ideas, and even PRAISE for products will do you wonders in this community/"Web 2.0" internet age.
Thanks in advance.-

Ronius reported a problem in Sony on January 28, 2009 20:03:
"Life with Playstation" can't shut down properly; forces the console to restartWhenever I close Life with Playstation, it seems the PS3 can't close it and forces a reboot with a beep. Only a minor niggle really but not sure if it's doing any harm to my beloved device or not.
Ronius replied on January 28, 2009 19:53 to the problem "When will my ps3 be ps2 compatible?" in Sony:
That's true... linux on ps3 has no graphics card support (without making changes to the operating system anyway) and it runs very slowly as it's running underneath Sony's OS... So I'm guessing the ps2 emulator won't work at a playable rate?
Either way, there is talk that sony wants to bring downloadable ps2 games to the PSN... so please sony add on to that backward compatibility for the PS2!!

When will my ps3 be ps2 compatible?I was shocked to find out that my ps3 was NOT compatible with ps2 games- something that surprised me considering the extensive backwards compatibility for ps1. It is bad enough that the emotion engine was taken out of the ps3 (I don't think the UK even had a version with the emotion engine), but absolutely appalling that there is not even an attempt at putting ps2 support in it, even if it was patchy at best.
I would really like to see either ps2 support or even an external ps2 emulator to play my ps2 games with. Surely you could at least take an open source emulator such as pcsx2 and patch it up a bit to work on ps3? I am a fiercely loyal playstation follower since I first bought a Playstation more than 10 years ago, but lack of support for the games I still play most and prohibitive pricing for most games has bought my loyality into question.-

Ronius gave praise in Songbird on November 26, 2008 00:54:
Gapless playback!I don't know if it was my imagination, but I was just playing "OK Computer" in Songbird and noticed there was no gap between the tracks (as the first track kind of leads into the second).
I'm running the nightly build 862 on windows XP. And no, it wasn't my imagination! It happened again!!
I've been going between Foobar2000 and Songbird the last few months, but this feature has made me certain: Songbird is now my primary music player!
Congratulations, and can't wait to see what comes next.

Ronius reported a problem in Mozilla on November 25, 2008 19:28:
Can't see add ons, downloads or updates (Minefield)I go to look at my addons or try to update and it's blank. This includes the extensions, languages, updates, plugins tabs, as well as the "check for updates" window and the "downloads" window.
And yes, I definitely have add-ons/downloads, and have tried to update!
I am running on Windows XP SP 3 with Minefield3.1b2pre
If there's any way I can help I'll be glad to!

I am having the same problem. Here is what my error console is saying:

I'm running build 862 on windows xp SP 3.
About to stop the concerts add on as it looks like that's causing problems, I'll edit and let you know my findings.-
