Great to see the new iPhone version! At the same time I'm very sad to see that you decided to go with the nano interface. I love Toggl and the classic interface and think you are all doing a great job - but I've found the nano interface to be absoluely useless. There is not even a quick way (or at least an obvious way) to continue a task from a previous day - clicking on previous days' tasks just seems to add more time to the previous day, when I want to add more time to it today. Do you really have that many users who favor nano over classic?

I agree, it's hard to please everyone with a single interface (and I am definitely in the Classic-fan group). An the public API is great. If I had a bigger company I'd see a lot of value integrating it into something else that handles other parts of our business. But as a very small company I like that I didn't have to spend much time setting things up or programming anything, so I can focus on programming for client projects.
I think Toggl is a great product and it's really great to see how it's improved over time. I found it to be the best time tracking tool available when I first started looking for one and I think it still is.
But where is the iPhone app?!

Thanks for pointing out that the other interface is available! I'll give it another try.
As for Nano... my immediate response to it is that it just looks ugly (sorry!). It doesn't feel right. It doesn't seem as intuitive as the old version. I really really like having the little hierarchy of my clients, projects, and tasks right there to click from. Clicking Create A New Task in Nano and having to type in a project name or whatever seems much too complicated compared to a click or two. And I'm not comfortable with how you can click on past days and then click on a task to re-start it. Where exactly is it recording the time when you do this? It seems as if it's adding the time to the previous day's time which doesn't make sense.
Maybe it makes sense for the workflow of some people but for me it seems totally wrong.

The new Toggl Desktop for Windows is a huge step backwardsAm I missing something or does anyone else think the new Toggl Desktop (widget) for Windows is a huge step backwards compared to the old Toggl Desktop? It looks like it sticks you with the Nano interface -- which I hate. I don't want to have to type in the project I am working on, I just want to click on it from a list and get to work. I thought maybe I could switch it back to "classic" mode, like on the web site, but I couldn't find the option anywhere.
I know I can still use the old one (and I definitely will for the time being) but it worries me that it's no longer supported. The old Toggle Desktop was one of the best aspects of Toggl for me - I'd not have signed up for Toggl without it.

I did some digging and found that you can actually control the favicon a bit with javascript:

The demo worked for me in Firefox 3, but sadly not in IE 7 or Chrome (yet)...

Expanding/collapsing in the timerThe recent update where you can expand/collapse tasks is nice. But projects with no tasks look odd, since they aren't indented to the same level as projects with tasks. Maybe a spacer or something should be there?
And why not go one further -- give us the option to expand/collapse clients. Make it a true hierarchical view.
But I think it'd be nice if all this were options. Have an option to load the timer with all tasks/projects collapsed or expanded, or not, etc, or not do collapsing at all.

Embrace Google ChromeI didn't think much of Chrome at first, but it's application mode is a GREAT way to run the Toggl Timer. It makes it almost as nice to use as Toggl Desktop, with the added bonus that the web version is updated more often and so has more features.
A few things that would make it better with Chrome -- allow it to automatically log in when it starts. Sure it has my user name & password prepopulated in the login fields (that might just be Chrome) and I can just click login. And *sometimes* it does log in right away. But it'd be nice if it were consistent.
Also: not sure it's possible, but it'd be neat of the taskbar icon would change based on whether your timer is on (like the desktop).

iPhone InterfaceHas anyone used any version of Toggl on an iPhone? Does it work, or are there any plans to make an iPhone app for it? I think it'd be a great idea.

Flag hours as billed or notIt'd be great if there was a way to mark what time has been billed to the client and what time remains to be billed - I assume this would be a premium/pay option.
