thanks for your repy, but comments containing
plus signs seem to be handled different.
I tried your way before, but this ONLY works if
nothing else but plus signs are in
the comment field.

I have to be more descriptive:
I use 1 to 5 plus signs for rating, and some more tags for mood
like "sun" for sunset songs or "new" for new songs. When i create
a smart playlist with

Comment Containes sun
and
Comment Containes new
(match all conditions, auto update)

everything works fine. But when i say

Comment Containes sun
and
Comment Containes +++++

i expect songs with "sun" and "+++++" but the result is an EMPTY
playlist (songs exist definitively in lib!).

I think this could be a bug, or i have to use regular expressions, or i have
to use escape sequences for special characters like plus signs. But this
is not well documented (or i did not find it).

Another point is, that sorting on "Comment" column with Comments beginning
with "+++", "++++", "+++++" is wrong. Maybe these problems have the same
root cause.

Yes Randy, i am trying to get a smart playlist which shall select songs which have i.e. "+++", "++++" or "+++++" in the comment field. I am actually using the comment field for rating the songs (manually by myself), because i want to be player-independent. Thanks for your reply. – rosch, on October 28, 2009 16:58
