HP Extended Service Plan Hostage on Pavilion tx 1000 Laptop running VISTA

I have a HP Laptop: Pavilion tx 1000 that I received as a gift > a year ago. Due to it having MS VISTA ( I'm not a fan of VISTA, but that's another topic), I Just started to use the NEW Laptop. It keeps coming up with a pop-up window ( like every 30 min.) to purchase an Extended Service Plan and I can NOT get it to go away / delete it. When I called HP service, they COULD NOT tell me how to disconnect it because it was > a year from being purchased - hence they WOULD NOT talk to me unless I was willing to $$ PAY $$ for the service call - Talk about getting PO.... PLEASE - can anyone tell me where to find the link / code to DELETE this PopUp?

I just loaded it and it worked. Now time will tell as to how well / usefull it is on my 8703e
