Calendar alerts - custom time, sound and snooze

I am having a huge problem with my iPhone in that the calendar alert sound is feeble and half the time I miss the event because I fail to hear it. It really ought to be customisable to play longer and have a snooze function. The other problem with the calendar event reminder is you cannot customise it to alert at a particular time, especially handy if something is an all day event (say a birthday reminder) and you want to be reminded at 9am about it - instead it goes off at 12am...

Does anyone know if these are going to be dealt with in any future upgrades?

I just sent my written complaint to Telstra via registered post with 4 pages of contact history (lol) after trying for months to get all my services on one bill... is it my problem they have an old and a new billing system who can't talk to each other?

Fingers crossed for a speedy resolution!

I have:
iPhone 2.2.1
XP
Outlook 2007

Previously iPhone would only sync some of my calendar but not everything and it screwed around with the all day events of what it did transfer.

Just upgraded iTunes to 8.1.1.10 - in the Info tab took out the tick of 'do not sync with events older than [ ] days' and tried a sync and it took everything across.

...now if only we can get Apple to play a decent event reminder with a snooze instead of the useless 2 second beep and I'll be a happy camper!
