Integrating with Twitter Service - NOT tweeting every blip?According to the services page - You can prevent updates from being sent on a blip-by-blip basis by starting your message with "!". However, when I tried doing a blip and putting ! before my message to avoid tweeting it, it still showed up as a tweet in my twitter stream. Am I doing something wrong?
Here's the link to my blip, if you want to check how I added the !.

In the meantime, i'm just disabling the twitter service, and only re-enabling for blips that I want to post to my twitter stream.

Link to blog on homepage? The only way I found out that blip.fm has a blog is by googling some things and coming across the link. It would be great to have a banner and/or link to the blog from the blip.fm homepage so more people are aware that it exists.

Option to not auto-play a song you blip?Right now, when you blip a song, the interface automatically starts playing your selection. While many people will probably like this, some of us are listening to a stream at the moment and may want to finish the current song first. I think it would be great to have an option to turn off the auto-play (so the current behavior is the default) for those who don't want it to auto-playback as soon as they blip a song.

Great. I can't even remember how I came across the fact that it existed - I think it was partially trial-and-error. I know some other people have expressed interest on this in blip messages or twitters to me. – rossruns, on August 07, 2008 18:38

Was "Blip from URL" support removed?A while back I joined blip.fm and saw that you could blip a song if you could point to the URL where it was hosted online - which was great for tunes that weren't already in the system but were still blip-worthy. However, today when I tried to do this, it didn't work. Was this functionality removed from blip.fm?

Ditto here - gmail and google IDs are the same. Signing into gmail did not fix the issue. – rossruns, on June 18, 2008 19:11-

Did you try the fix suggested in a similar thread?

As for your other point - I don't know how often Mr. Snook checks in here to support Snitter, but the fact that he does this at all is pretty cool. After all, it's a free product that he developed on the side and although he has a donation button on his site, it's entirely optional to donate anything for use of the program. I suspect (but don't have anything to back up my guess) that lack of financial incentive (and lack of time) has kept him from providing more support. Maybe if more of us donate for use of the program, he'll make it a higher priority in his busy queue of projects? :-)
