I guess...
I've stopped following this question via e-mail, so I likely won't be back. It looks like it's getting solved anyway, so you should click somewhere that "this answers the question" and put this thread out of its misery. Until we meet again on g.s...... – roto, on May 27, 2009 19:31

I think we're all neglecting to notice one minor (BUT LARGE) detail about this area of Get Satisfaction:
Facebook was never really here to begin with...
Unofficial Customer Support Community for Facebook
Perhaps G.S. cleverly created this "in house" to capitalize on Facebook's popularity & attract attention to their service? You never know...anybody could have created this. Sigh.

roto reported a problem in HootSuite on May 26, 2009 12:43:
Incorrect Icons in "Profile(s) to tweet from" area...I've logged in and out a few times this morning, and after a tweet in Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.0.10) Gecko/2009042316 Firefox/3.0.10, my icons become mismatched:
This all started to happen when I updated my icon for the twitter account (roto) -- other than that, I've changed nothing else recently.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Texas-Jim, you may also want to experiment with posterous (www.posterous.com) for your blog. it's dead simple to get started -- basically, an e-mail to post@posterous.com gets you started.
As for this supposed Twiiter support...I think it's shameful that both Twitter and Facebook signed up for Get Satisfaction and don't use it.

Where did "Health From The Sun - The Total EFA" go?Why doesn't my local store carry it anymore? Is this a chain-wide decision? Product link: http://tinyurl.com/ryhb5b

In all fairness, Facebook is growing at an astounding rate, and it's obvious they can't keep up with the C.S. demands. That's no excuse, but I also know that Dave travels quite a bit as a Facebook Evangelist -- I recently saw him at a Web Apps conference in Miami, FL.
Let's hope they start using some of their ad revenue to bolster the attention they give to G.S. Right now, it's making them look bad by giving the appearance they registered here to help customers as an afterthought. – roto, on May 19, 2009 13:26

It looks like twitter has removed the offending account:

Is this still an issue?

What's also disconcerting is that this is a supposed "Customer Support Community for Facebook" and this thread alone has 36 replies and 10 people participating. One of those 10 should have already been a facebook rep, and it hasn't happened yet.
Perhaps this is why:

(as of the posting of this link, there is one person helping 8,901 people)
Twitter is doomed to die the same fate from a C.S. standpoint. Check out their Get Satisfaction pages if you ever have time. – roto, on May 19, 2009 02:10

Strebby, I'm glad we're moving on...however, judging from other Get Satisfaction topics of the same nature, facebook's "maintenance" issues are a nuisance for others, too:

I hate to be captain obvious, but have you performed a complete cache dump, flushed DNS, etc.?

Strebby, I know you're not a fan of mine, but I'm happy you're getting your issue resolved and the mood in here is heading toward an overall smile. :) I also really appreciate your help on what a metaphor is...I guess I missed that class in 4th grade. Sarcasm intended.
I guess my initial goal was two-fold 1) to show you it wasn't the end of the world if you couldn't login to facebook and & 2) say you'll likely get a better response from a support rep if you're not "pissed" and calling them "jokers"...
I was over you at goodbye. – roto, on May 18, 2009 17:11
