Dear Lary,
As we are talking on another case's thread here, I don't know what is the problem you are facing so I can't suggest any solution.
Please give me the feed url and describe you problem (preferably in another thread) so that I can help you.
Best regards,

I'm opening a ticket for this to be included in a future release.I'm not sure if we are going to finally implement this or not, but if we do, it will be in a more general context of enabling or disabling parts of a story's structure.
One of the things we have planed to do anyway is adding a story type for sharing links (i.e. get a feed from delicious). You can already do that with the "Generic" story type but a more specialized approach would be good. So in a case like this indeed a feature that allows you to disable the "source" and "date" attributes could be harmless and can be added with not many regrets I think.
Thanks for your suggestions and for using RSS Graffiti.

Hi David,
We plan to offer premium services for subscribers but we are not there yet. For the time being we are developing and testing the application and trying to bring it up to a level that we feel is acceptable for a subscription based offering.
What you ask about hiding the link to the source and the date, can be added as an option regardless of what options are going to be included in the free version of RSS Graffiti when we reach that point. Although I personally don't see any good reasons for enabling such option, it's the user's opinion that always counts more, so since you ask for it I will have to consider it.
To be completely open with you my first reaction is that I wouldn't like to add an option like that because it will encourage those that would like to use RSS Graffiti to publish 3rd party content without proper authorization from the content owner and obscure the content's source. That would be a violation of Facebook's ToS and also a violation of RSS Graffiti's ToS (and of course it will probably break other conventional law locally or internationally). On the other hand the user is always responsible for their actions so we shouldn't really play police or justice as service providers.
I promise to consider adding this option in a future release. Any arguments from you or other users in this thread might help us make up our mind on this particular issue.
RSS Graffiti branding (the icon and the "via RSS Graffiti" hyperlink) at the bottom of each posted story, will certainly be removed from the high-end premium version when it comes about.
Thanks for using RSS Graffiti,
Yannis

Hello Nidia,
We should open a new case for your problem since this one we are in now is about a different problem that has been resolved.
Nevertheless please give me a feed url and I will check what is going on with your feed.
Thanks,

Hi Chris,
Sorry for the belayed reply.
"Microblog" and "Status Update" stories are right for this type of thing. If you use "microblog" then the link to your post should be in the "Full story" action link at bottom of the post. If you use "Status Update" you will also have a link appended to the update as a short url (bit.ly).
If these links point to your wiki's home page rather than to the page the story refers to, then you need to check your RSS feed and make sure it includes a hyperlink to the original page in every item.
If you need help on checking that please give me the feed url and I will check it for you.
I hope this helps,
Yannis

rousso replied on October 29, 2009 00:07 to the question "Is there a way to truncate what gets posted from my feed to FB?" in RSS Graffiti:
Hi all,
Sorry for not updating this earlier. As of version 1.6.1 Beta which was deployed yesterday we re-enabed truncation of the body text posted in Facebook.
The body text is currently truncated to an abstract of 50 to 70 words. The way we do it is we take the first 50 words and then we start looking for the end of a sentence. If we find it in less than 70 words in total then we cut the abstract at the end of the sentence, otherwise we cut it at 70 words. we add an ellipsis (...) at the end of the abstract to denote there is more text in the source.
Facebook automatically inserts the "read more" link after 250 characters. Cutting the abstract in 250 characters to avoid the ink insertion by Facebook looked ugly because the abstract seemed too short.
One thought that we did not implement in this release was to add a short url (through bit.ly) pointing to the source at the end of the abstract. Nevertheless we thought it would be better to make this optional, so we are going to release it after we finish with the changes we plan for the feed editor forms (to accommodate more controls and feel simpler at the same time). For the same reason we did not add any controls yet, for you to configure the length of the abstract. These will come at some point soon but we don't have final plans for them just yet.
I think the situation is better with the abstract now. As aways you don't have to install or change anything yourselves. It will just work automatically for all the feeds. Actually it already does.
Best to all,
Yannis

Hi,
No, we don't yet provide a similar feature. Please have a look at this relevant topic: http://getsatisfaction.com/rssgraffit...
To create such a tab you will need an application to do it for you. We plan to add such a feature in the future but we are not there yet.

rousso replied on October 27, 2009 20:08 to the question "paragraph breaks" in RSS Graffiti:
Unfortunately not!
In fact, we would like to ask Facebook the same question. Currently Facebook does not accept HTML in the body of the post so there can be no formating.
We are about to make the length of the posts' body shorter so that they appear as an abstract. This will make them look more sensible.
Best regards,
Yannis

Facebook Bug #7243 currently prevents new page authorizationUsers of RSS Graffiti are very likely to be currently affected by Facebook bug #7243 which causes the Facebook dialog prompting for special permissions to appear empty. As a result users cannot authorize RSS Graffiti to publish on new pages.
We are following this bug on Facebook bug tracker and hope it will be resolved soon.
