Can I import my Excel books list?
I asked this question about 8 months ago and got a good answer: use either comma or tab limited (as I recall). Does the newest version of DM have a more streamlined way to do this? My book list has title, author (one field), rating, date read, type (ie, history) and brief comments (for very few books). I don't really need more than title and author, if the number of fields is an issue.

    Can I really add apparel?
I see that DM has added the ability for me to add apparel. I'm new to this. How do I do that (slacks, shirts, shoes, seaters, etc.)?

syncing firefox 3.0.11 bookmarks with safari 4.0
I use Firefox almost exclusively. I want to sync my FF 3.0.11 bookmarks with Safari 4.0 so that I can then sync my bookmarks on to my iPhone 3GS. I will rarely add bookmarks to Safari but may add bookmarks occasionally to my iPhone. My goal is for the bookmarks on FF and the iPhone to always agree. Is this what Xmarks can do? Will it sync all my FF bookmarks, including those in the FF Bookmarks Toolbar? Thanks.

Excellent advice! Thanks much. The testing with a subset and undo feature limits the chance that I'll make a pig's breakfast out ot it.

Thanks, Stu. That sounds better than getting version 1 (which allowed Excel imports, I understand) and then upgrading to version 2. Your last paragraph: are you suggesting that I place text in all rows in all fields, even if I don't now have test in some fields? Any other caveats? – royofsf, on April 22, 2009 21:37

    Importing from Excel spreadsheet???
I have hundreds of book titles (and many corresponding authors) on one Excel spreadsheet. Can I import this into DL2? I believe that I met the owner at this year's Macworld and that he told me that I could only do this on DL1 and then upgrade to DL2? Is that correct? If so, I have already bought DL2 (it is new and unpopulated); what do I do now? Thanks.
