My solution was to buy an external Bluetooth GPS. found a nice GPS Trip Recorder online for about $40 that works great and allows me to use 3rd party apps w my Pearl. Still no subsitute for a stand alone GPS - A lot of functionality overall depends on having phone reception - no good in the woods miles from a cel tower.

the GPS on the Tour is unlocked. Was at the Verizon Store the other day and tested one. Will probly buy one next upgrade. Tour 2 expected out in January.

seems to be a Twitterfeed horkfest again today - I do realize this may not neccesarily be Twitterfeed's fault...

about 3/4 of my feeds are showing "unable to parse feed" exclamation marks - but if tested they parse just fine. Went thru and set up OAuth sucessfully on everything a week or so back... Everything seemed to be working fine till about 6-7 hours ago, at least that's when I am showing my last Twitterfeed post on Twitter. I am @rrhobbs - thx

The Tweet shortener helps A LOT - PeopleBrowsr handles the problem differently it breaks up up the Tweet into parts but I dont personally care for it. I believe you and the default Twitter interface at least say how many characters are left - but the abbreviator is pretty slick - thx

NOT a url shortener - it's easy to see that exists - I mean a text abreviator - if you havent I would suggest firing up Tweetdeck and comparing features. Tweetdeck has the text abbeviator but as an app Tweetdeck runs locally - trying get stuff OFF my box and use more web apps - thx – R. Richard Hobbs, on February 18, 2009 22:06

wish to be returned to where I left off - If I am catching up reading the people I follow and am 10 pages int o older tweets - I DONT want to be returned to the latest timesline - ANNOYING - Otherwise a GREAT Twitter tool
